molitor & kuzmin
molitor & kuzmin’s interventions are light storages, which reflect the interplay of light technical constructions, space forming disposals and the tension between imaging factors and allegorical associations.
The video installation shows a series of wiping motions of a hand in the sand, which reveal and conceal a light occurence.
molitor & kuzmin show fluorescent lamps as a graphic and plastic material. With their interventions, they articulate how light and its various interdependencies modulate ideology.
As Time Goes By
In the 1990s, molitor & kuzmin started to work with fluorescent lamps. They develop interventions, orchestrating the imagery of the lamps, their specific color of light and the light distribution in interplay with spatial ensembles.
